Zawiya of Moulay Idris II
The Zawiya of Moulay Idris II honours the founder of Fes, whose tomb has made it one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Morocco, historically so sacred that non-Muslims and even beasts of burden were once barred from the surrounding streets. Its green-tiled shrine sits at the very heart of Fes El Bali, the spiritual centre of the old medina.
