Walls of Marrakesh
The Walls of Marrakesh are nearly 19km of red ochre ramparts built by the Almoravids in the 12th century, punctuated by monumental gates such as Bab Agnaou. Still largely intact, they enclose the historic medina of Marrakech and give the Red City its name and colour.
