Taroudant
Taroudant, nicknamed "Little Marrakech," is a walled market town in the Souss Valley inland from Agadir, encircled by nearly 7km of intact red-ochre ramparts. Its souks are known for local silver jewellery and leather goods, and the town's slower pace and smaller scale make it a favourite day trip for travellers wanting a taste of imperial-city atmosphere without the crowds of Agadir or Marrakech.
