Souss-Massa National Park protects a stretch of Atlantic coastline, wetlands, and dunes south of Agadir, and is one of the last strongholds of the critically endangered northern bald ibis. Birdwatchers come for flamingos, herons, and migratory species along the Oued Massa estuary, while the park's beaches and cliffs remain largely undeveloped compared to the resorts near Agadir.
