Ouzoud Falls, among the highest waterfalls in North Africa at around 110 metres, tumble over red rock cliffs into a series of pools in the Atlas foothills near Beni Mellal. Barbary macaques roam the wooded paths leading down to the base, where boatmen ferry visitors close to the spray, and mule paths wind through terraced olive groves along the canyon rim.
