Moulay Idriss Zerhoun
Moulay Idriss Zerhoun is a hillside pilgrimage town near Meknes, built around the tomb of Morocco's first Islamic ruler and the founder of the Idrisid dynasty, making it one of the country's holiest sites. Its white-and-green houses tumble down two hillsides facing each other, with sweeping views over the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis.
