Menara Gardens are an olive-grove park on the western edge of Marrakech, centred on a large 12th-century reflecting pool built by the Almohads for irrigation, with the snow-capped Atlas Mountains as a backdrop on clear days. A popular spot for a peaceful walk or picnic away from the medina's crowds, it remains one of the city's oldest continuously maintained gardens.
