The Marinid Tombs are the ruined remains of royal mausoleums built on a hilltop overlooking Fes in the 14th and 15th centuries, now largely stripped of their original decoration but still offering the single best panoramic viewpoint over the entire medina, especially at sunset. The climb up rewards visitors with sweeping views across the rooftops, minarets, and surrounding hills.
