Bou Inania Madrasa is widely considered the finest example of Marinid architecture in Fes, built in the mid-14th century with an unusual combination of a working mosque and a religious college in one complex. Its courtyard of carved cedar, marble, and zellige tilework, along with a rare public water clock on its facade, make it one of the medina's essential sights.
