Azrou
Azrou is a Middle Atlas market town built around a striking black volcanic outcrop, long known for its tradition of cedarwood carving sold in workshops around the main square. Its lively Wednesday souk draws Amazigh (Berber) traders from surrounding mountain villages, and the cedar forests just outside town are one of the best places in Morocco to see wild Barbary macaques, a short drive from Ifrane.
